This group is from the town of Grabownica in southeastern Poland directly south of Rzeszow. The band was formed in 1964 and today is composed of musicians and singers who perform in regional Rzeszow costumes. This album was recorded at Polish Radio Rzeszow in 2004. Polish village songs frequently touch on relations between the sexes. Courting was a favorite and some of the lyrics were considered quite daring even couched in themes of folk and field.
