About:
Polish folk songs are monophonic. Structural elements of the melody compose the light and airy whole, that may suit also dancing purposes. Meter structures are the best preserved elements in music of amateur ensembles. The most typical and principal meters in polish folk music are the simple duple and triple meters. Folk instruments and instrumental ensembles practice admit, that melody is the most important element of polish folk music. The music of those 3 CDs reviews musical folklore of a few Polish ethnographic groups, a review showing in instantaneous samples the regional differentiation of Polish folk. Most of the performers are the members of amateur folk bands. Not all of them are equally skilled, but they are sincere and spontaneous. They just sing and play in the way their inborn talents make them do it. For the listener they guarantee that they will experience Polish folk in its best and clearer form.
